Are you interested in impact investing? If you’re a graduate student from an IFC member country, you can apply for the 2024 International Finance Corporation (IFC) Impact Investing Challenge. This challenge is a premier competition that provides a unique opportunity to engage with IFC staff and present innovative solutions to senior leadership. Over 150 teams from around the world have participated in previous editions, which addressed issues such as “Just and Green Recovery” and “MSME Financing.”
The 2024 edition focuses on the Gender-Climate Nexus, inviting students globally to propose innovative proposals to design a debt or equity fund that addresses the disproportionate impact of climate change on women and marginalized communities. Eligibility criteria apply, and World Bank Group employees and their relatives are not eligible.
The benefits of this challenge include real-world experience, a global platform, exclusive training, the opportunity to meet IFC senior leadership, an IFC Impact Investing Fellowship, and career-defining exposure. The challenge timeline is tentative, with the proposal submission deadline on April 15, 2024, and the grand finale on early June 2024.
